El Romaní de Breda va obrir les portes l'any 1981, tot i que en Josep i la Montserrat ja feia molts anys que eren dins el món de l'hostaleria. Amb una cuina de mercat i tradicional, el restaurant s'ha fet un nom dins la gastronomia del Montseny.
Actualment, en Sam, el fill de la parella, s'encarrega de portar el negoci familiar. Hi aporta un toc innovador i delecta els seus comensals amb una carta variada plena de productes de l'hort propi i del Montseny, i amb un tracte familiar.
